Unbelizable!

We finally left Caye Caulker despite how difficult it was! haha It was just a great, small town with friendly people and fun things to do. We made our way to Belize city and got out of there as quick as we could (staying only 1/2 hour to be exact) There is a 70% unemployment rate there so the poverty makes in an uncomfortable and scary place to be. We rode an old rasta coloured schoolbus, that was probably used in North America 20 years ago. It was a little squishy but we made it to San Ignacio and went right to our hostel that was recommended to us in Caye Caulker. We immediately met some fellow Canadians and in about 10 minutes of arriving we were in our bathing suits and taking an adventure with the hostel owner, her family and other backpackers.  We all jumped in Natasha's (hostel owner) Huge orange land rover and took a bumpy ride through the hillside.  The back roof was falling down on us but was rigged up with a stick of wood! It was hilarious.  We went to this beautiful, freshwater stream that had small waterfalls everywhere. We went swimming  for a while and also went on a little hike. It was absolutely gorgeous. On our way back we saw a wonderful sunset as well. Our first impression of San Ignacio turned out to be quite good! We might be staying here for a couple days visiting the surrounding area. This is what we think is our last stop in Belize before heading West to Guatemala! It's been pretty UNBELIZEABLE! :)
