In an Octopus's Garden

Snorkelling in Belize was incredible. We swam with nurse sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, barracudas, huge fish and tiny fish. There were so many underwater species and there were so many different beautiful colours. We've been spending lots of time on this little island called Caye Caulker in Belize. Everyone seems to know us and they're all REALLY friendly. Canadians pretty much own this island, we've ran into so many. We met an Albertan last night and we defended Saskatchewan hard, we showed that guy what was up. ;) It's such a small world really.  We met people from all over the world yet we've known some of the same people.  Britt downloads music from some random site on the web and we met the guy who actually made it.  It's crazy how small this world really is and how many connections we have with other people we've never even met before. It's been way too much fun here and we're having a hard time leaving. But we're leaving tomorrow! None of the locals believe us though because we've already said that like 4 times.  It's the most common lie tourists are known for here.  We never leave when we say we're going to.  It's impossible not to get hooked on the fresh squeezed fruit juices, the home baked banana bread and the incredible fresh seafood.

  1. Why leave if you are having a good time? You still have 2.5 months before you have to come home!

  2. There is a lot more to see, it's kinda pricey and all our friends we met we're leaving too so we felt it was time to go! It was hard though :) From Britt
