Valladolid to Tulum

From Cancun we bussed to Valladolid and stayed at a small hotel that Emerald had stayed at 1 and a half years before. We toured the town centro, which was a very small area. We ate lots and saw some Mexican entertainment where they balanced bottles on their heads while dancing. This morning we got up and caught a bus to Tulum. A small town in west quintana roo. On the way there we met a very interesting fellow who had a very distinct vision of the future of the world. He talked about aliens changing our DNA, religion, lightness and darkness of the inner person and many other things. Some of which we didn´t understand because  it was just a little too complex. :S He talked for a good two hours which made this bus ride seem way shorter than the last one. But he was a cool dude but had some pretty "out there" ideas. So, finally we got to Tulum and walked around trying to find a good hostel. We settled on the Weary Traveler, which is recommended in our Lonely planet. It just so happpens that we´re in the same room as two people from Norway which I (britt) thought was verryyy coooool!! :) and I told them that I´d been there and had Norwegian heritage.We walked around the main street, browsing the shops.. hustled some prices down and ate some more good food. Today we´re just taking it easy but tomorrow we plan to either go to the beach or to a cenote.
